Screen Castify Maths DLO

Today we used screen castify. Ls2 made a maths DLO and put it on our planing sheet that i made then we had to right our script. I downloaded screencastify and we had to record ourselves and talk about what this maths DLO was about. 

Hit the button Maths game - Harlem

Today we used the game Hit the button to help us recall our 4x answers quickly to find the answer. I found it harder to find the question because it was hard to answer under presser. So i will be practicing this in my own time.

World of Maths - Harlem

Yesterday LS2 and LS1 went to the hall for World of maths. The person who was leading it was Charles. Charles told us to get into groups of four then we had to go choose an activity. My favorite one was the Bird eye view it was quite hard to do but we only got half of it done. We used Geometry to try and solve the problem. Then Charles came over and helped us finish it,we worked collaboratively with each other so it was easier to find an answer to the questions, We had a really enjoyable afternoon with Charles.

Place Value Strategy-Harlem

I have learnt a new Strategy for multiplication. In this DLO I have Explained how you can use it. I worked with Mathias.

In Maths we created this DLO to share our thinking. My DLO shows the strategy I used to   solve subtraction questions by changing the second number into a tidy number.

Ls2's favourtie gaming consoles

This graph shows that LS2's favorite console is the Ps4 but it was very close to the ps3. the xbox360 beat the XboxOne probably because the xbox360 came before the XboxOne so a lot more people will have it

3D Shapes

Today for maths I learnt about how many faces are on a shape. I estimated that the top shape would have 6 triangle faces and 1 hexagon face, also I estimated that the bottom shape would have 8 faces. I was right once but also wrong once.. I also learnt that it is not about the faces you can see because there are some faces that are hidden or you can't see.
